Will’s approach is unique and challenging. It is about working smarter (not harder). Will encourages loan officers and relationship managers to identify their “bulls-eye” market, and further identify their most important customer relationships. From there, he challenges these individuals to move beyond traditional relationship selling into new roles as “trusted advisors.”
I have personally attended Will’s face-to-face sessions more than once. I leave each time feeling challenged and encouraged. For me, his message is as much about transformation of habits and maximizing personal potential as it is about selling. Will uses coaching effectively; but is also quick to challenge student beliefs and stereotypes, while promoting a personal philosophy of “100 percent accountability.” Without Will’s help and continued involvement with Farm Credit University, we would not have this high quality training program in place for our association lenders.
